Week 3 - Packers edge Cards in absolute thriller.

The Packers just won a great game against the Cardinals.

Leading 20-17 deep in the 4th, a typical McNabb interception gave the Packers a field goal... With less than 20 seconds a heave to Andre Roberts followed by a pass interference call on the next hail mary left the Cards in a position to score the game winning touchdown with two seconds to go in the game... Alas, McNabb couldnt get the ball to Heath Miller as time expired..

It was a fun game to play, and it was one where I didnt mind losing.. Cheers Scott.

The Packers defense saves the struggling offense in a 6 point difference thiller at a soggy Lambeau Field.

The Packers hopes were thought to be dashed early when Aaron Rodgers first pass was picked off by former Packer AJ Hawk., but a goal line stand limited the damage to just a FG.

In the 2nd quarter, Beanie Wells punched in a crucial 4th down conversion from the flat to put the Cardinals up by 10.

In the two minute waning of the first half, the Packers defense answered big, Brice McCain and Nick Collins picked off two consecutive McNabb passes, McCain bring his back for a TD. Collins INT allowed Rodgers to make a miracle pass to James Jones, and in less than a minute, the Packers were up by three going into the 2nd half.

After a Packers FG, Larry Fitzgerard tied the game with a 48 yard catch and (mostly) run, shaking off Charles Woodson and Brice McCain in the process.

Nick Barnett and Morgan Burnett snuffed out two more Cardinal drives, both of which led to Packers FGs and they grind out the clock in the 4th Quarter.

Down by 6 points, the Cardinals offense took the field with only 38 seconds left to score a TD and win the game. After a big connection to TE Heath Miller to get to mid field, another long bomb went incomplete, but a defense pass interference penalty was going to give the Cardinals one last play to punch in the TD from the 2 yard line. The ensuing pass overshot the endzone, giving the Pack their first win of the season.

Final score: 23 - 17 Packers
