Post-match against the Colts, I went stat-digging a little bit into how to best describe exactly how dangeroud my D really is. I found a pretty good defensive stat that League Manager doesn't show, Tackles for Loss.

Currently, the league leader is the DeMond Cooper, MLB of the Panthers, who is also leading the league in tackles and Sacks. Props to Demond.

DeMond is in a league of his own - 64 tackles, 21 tackels for loss, 12 sacks, 1 Forced Fumble. Ouch, that's nasty.

Most teams (Including the Panthers) only have 1 player on the defense with 10 or more Tackles for Loss, some don't have any. And here's where the Titans reign supreme. Look at this Big 3:

Jared Allen - 25 tackles, 16 Tackles for Loss, 8 Sacks, 2 FF's, 4 Fumble Recoveries.
Mario Williams - 23 tackles, 17 Tackles for Loss, 6 Sacks, 3 FF's.
Tyson Alualu - 24 tackles, 16 Tackles for Loss, 5 Sacks, 1 FF's, 2 Fumble Recoveries.

They are currently ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th in Tackles for loss.

Eat it opposing offenses.

Oh, and don't sleep on this guy, like I did for the first half of the season, until he recently got the nod at starter:

D'Anthony Smith - 9 tackles, 5 Tackles for Loss, 4 Sacks, 1 FF's.

That's why we are callde the Ditans people.

This is what auto-fellatio looks like in message board post form.

Tackles for loss is a great category to look at, but hardly representative of a whole defense. I'm curious, do sacks count as tackles for loss? Because that's something worth considering.
