These are some of the words that could be heard in the locker room before tonight's game in the quiet Georgia Dome that was at a measly 85% capacity...only the true "Dirty Bird" fans showed up for tonight's game where the Katskins were projected to dominate the Falcons...The Katskins showed their ability to pass the football early on as Big Ben connected with Jerious Norwood for a 45 yd reception on the first play of the series..."Let's make some adjustments, these MFs are not about to pass up and down the field tonight in the Dome", is what the veteran SS Darren Sharper told his teammates...and that's what they did...The Falcons had a solid defensive performance by the Falcons and held the Skins to a 46 yd FG in the first drive. The Falcons offense could not produce after receiving the ball and were forced to punt. "Keep your freaking cool" is what Michael Turner yelled to Mattie Ice on the sideline.

The Falcons defense came out and forced the Skins to punt. Mattie Ice came back in the game rejuvenated by the defensive secondary's ferocity in attacking their opponent's receivers...The Falcons went with a balanced attack and got Michael Turner, O. Mughelli (FB) and rookie TE sensation Freeman Kane, involved and scored a TD on their next drive...

Big Ben came back out gunning for a TD and hit Jerious Norwood on a 36 yd reception on 1st down...Big Ben was relentless in his pursuit to get his team back in the lead and went for another long pass, but, instead ended up throwing a Pick 6 to Falcons LB Sean Weatherspoon who ran it back 91 yds for a TD..."We might be out of the playoffs, but, don't count us out as competitors!, he screamed into the camera after an Icky Woods shuffle in the endzone.

The Falcons ended up with another score after maintaining possession of the ball for a significant chunk of the 2nd Qtr...With 43 seconds left in the half, Big Ben managed to throw a TD...With 32 seconds remaining, the Falcons' plan was to run out the clock as they were getting the ball back in the second half...Mattie Ice spotted a vulnerability in the defense and called an audible...An interception followed and within 17 seconds the Skins scored a second TD and gained the momentum even though they were down by 3 heading into the half.

The third quarter was all about clock management for the Falcons as it was tough for them to get into the endzone and they settled for one FG and some good defensive stops...Stay focused baby!, the Defensive Coordinator yelled across the field...the defense managed to hold the Skins scoreless in the 3rd.

The Falcons used clock management and their highly capable backfield and offensive line to run the clock out in the fourth quarter. The Skins did not have an answer for the power of Atlanta's running game in the dome tonight! "It's just their night" is what Big Ben was spotted saying on the sideline as he looked at his defense who had a hard time making a stop. But the Falcons could not put the ball in the endzone and settled for a FG..."We've still got a shot", exclaimed Ben trying to rally his team and he took them to the endzone in a 2 minute drill...With a little over five minutes remaining, the Falcons put their backfield to the test and began running out the clock...With less than 2 minutes remaining, the Falcons" Bonehead Cowboy Offensive Coordinator called a pass play and threw an interception...score is 27-24 ATL at this point...Big Ben immediately took to the air and connected on 13 and 21 yard passes...His next pass was in the endzone and was intercepted by Darren Sharper...Victory Formation was called as the Falcons kneeled their way into another mark in the W Column...NFC South Stand Up! Great game!
