Has anyone else heard about this? I don't know all the specifics, but some insurance company is going to build a new football stadium for LA. Not sure if it will be home to an expansion team, or is some other team will relocate like the Vikings (please God no), or the Jaguars.

I've been saying Vikings based on their stadium issues, coaching issues, Favre, and the way this season went. But I honestly see them staying in Minnesota, their fan base is far too devoted. The only way I could rationalize it would be moving them to LA, and then putting the Rams in the NFC North.

But I think other teams are suffering a bit worse. Jacksonville keeps getting thrown around. Sounds like Rich's virtual fanbase that keeps picketing against him will actually see their team move like he's been talking about.

I thought I heard that they want the LA stadium to house two teams like New York, too.

Whatever team(s) ends up moving, it has a good chance of disrupting divisional alignment. Much like when everything was re-aligned 10+ years ago when the Seahawks moved from the AFC West the the NFC West.

From what I've read, it's practically a done deal that the Chargers are going. The only question is if the Jags join them.

As for the Vikings, to paraphrase Bill Simmons, "It would be a massive failure on every level if that team left. It's just too important to that state and those fans."

Why is the Chargers leaving San Diego? I have a few friends from SD who all tell me the team is loved by the City...

LA does need a franchise - It's a gaping hole in the NFL marketplace that is sorely in need of resolving.

Speaking of divisional alignment, why is the Colts in the AFC South?
