Texans Squeak By Ravens
It was a game that the Ravens should have won. Through the third quarter, the score was 7-3.
The final score? 27-24, a win for the Texans after Neil Rackers kicked a 36 yard game winning field goal. In overtime.
Ken's Ravens are fierce and very, very fast. He passed all over the field, hitting Reggie Bush and Ed Dickson multiple times. Jahvid Best couldn't run, but was a huge threat in the flats. I simply didn't know how to handle him.
But one man put the team on his back: Yamon Figurs. First, part of the scoring summary:
2nd qtr
[BAL](7:05) Reggie Bush 31 yd TD catch
[HOU](1:37) Neil Rackers 47 yd FG
4th qtr
[HOU](7:03) Greene 31 yd TD rush, after breaking a tackle by four Ravens at once!
[BAL](5:25) Dickson 34 yd TD catch
[BAL](1:57) Best 3 yd TD rush
This left the game in the hands of Figurs, down 21-10 with less than two minutes in the game. Figurs took the ball 91 yards for a score, then Houston failed to get the two-point conversion. They tried an onside kick, to no success.
A huge catch by the Ravens led their receiver down to within the 10 yard line, but then the Ravens ran the ball out of bounds. Cassell took a knee, and gave Cundiff the chance to put the game "out of reach," 24-16.
Then Figurs stepped up to the plate. Running 84 yards and dangerously close to the sidelines, he sped into the end zone. Then Kevin Walter caught a two point conversion attempt, met by a Ravens DB on the goal-line. Pushing just enough, he fell forward into the end zone to notch up the game. Then, due to Aspha Savage's broken collarbone, one man caught a key interception to take the game into overtime: Former Broncos FS Darcel "Little Mac" McBath.
Turning to his wonderful girlfriend, Mike Suszek asked, "heads or tails" to begin overtime. The intelligent and cunning girl replied, "tails." This correct decision gave the Texans a first shot at the OT win. Audibling to a drag route for Andre Johnson, Matt Schaub threw a dart to Johnson, who took the ball to the 30-ish yard line in the Ravens territory. Soon after, Rackers showed up and overcame a light Aussie lag to kick the 36-yard game-winner.
To summarize:
4th qtr
[HOU](1:46) Figurs KR return 91 yds

Coming away from this game, a few things stand out:
- Ken is really, really good, and his DBs are really, really fast.
- Ken doesn't need Ray Rice, especially with Jahvid Best and Reggie Bush.
- Shonn Greene is tough-as-nails.
- Yamon Figurs is incredible, and I wish he could catch!
- Clock management is everything.

Because you didn't read it.
Understand that both Ken and I could beat you now.
Re: Texans Squeak By Ravens
I read it twice. And I own both of you. NFC! NFC! NFC!

No, I could beat you now. I improve week-to-week.
And Ken? Definitely could beat you.
Dascenz--NO.
Re: Texans Squeak By Ravens
Here is a tip for everyone. Don't kick to figures. Under any circumstances. Squib it, kick it high, kick it out of bounds... Just don't kick it to Figures.
Also apparently five ravens defenders aren't enough to tackle Greene.
But I shouldn't complain (but have). The ravens are stacked. I love it that Mike has admitted I don't need Rice (that inofitself nearly made it worth it).
I think I can beat babyseat next week (our two games to date have gone to OT or been decided by one-point).
Looking forward to the off-season and pushing to the play-offs next year.

It's FIGURS. NO E. Yamon is furious at you now.
Also, I'm raising hell if everyone starts squibbing it to me, that's some shady-ass playing! Man up and stop me, I've only scored 7 TDs on kick returns this season with Figurs, tying with the Eagles returner (forget who), but I lead in yards.

You said it yourself Mike, "I can't believe you kicked it to Figures." If we play again he is not getting the ball. I'll take my chances with Security Council sanctions but I am not losing like that again.

Fair enough. If I did spell it wrong, it was because I sent it via Ex Box Live. That one was intentionally misspelled. I'm so witty!
I'm afraid to play you again, Ken. You're playoff-bound next season. Book it!
Re: Texans Squeak By Ravens
He'd be playoff bound if he wasn't in the AFC NORTH where I, alone, will make sure he doesn't make it! Mwahahaha!
