NHL 11 Soundtrack

For the most part, sports games soundtracks are pretty forgettable, but NHL 11 has the one of the best soundtracks I've heard in a sports game in a long time. It just felt like they actually tried to make a good soundtrack that suited the game, instead of just throwing together the usual crap songs that were currently on the radio.

Just to name a few of the tracks:

Shipping out to Boston-Drop kick Murphy's
Sandstorm-Darude
Blitzkrieg Bop-Ramones
Twilight Zone-2 Unlimited
Walk-Pantera
Ole-Bouncing Souls

Can anyone name a sports game soundtrack that rivals this years NHL soundtrack?

Also, the best soundtrack should be a category for the Stringy's next year.

I was pretty happy with Madden 11's soundtrack. Instead of picking popular songs that fit the Madden stereotype demographic, they went with songs that are commonly used at football games. Hope they keep it up, and that Madden 11 won't be the only time I get to hear "Bang on the Drums" when I score with the Packers.

But really, why can't we have custom soundtracks in Madden ala EVERY OTHER EA SPORTS GAME. (I'm guessing the NFL won't allow it for some convoluted reason)

i use the custom soundtrack in NHL. I have the Flyers goal horn and song play everytime i score w/ my BaP guy online and off. Its epic!

Personally, I love my electric guitar version of the Final Fantasy victory theme when I score.

this guy put together an entire soundtrack. including stop in play music, goal horns and songs. penalty songs, pp songs, its awesome and where i got my music from

I have that too, I have all the goal songs on my hard drive and are correct for every team.

nice! it took me an entire night to finish it but it was worth it.

A couple months ago I was watching a Stars vs Oilers game and when a fight broke out the Mike Tyson's Punch out training theme came on. Now I just need to figure out how to get that on my custom playlist.
