Titans believe, move to 5-2, become Ditans
"Chris Johnson? I don't
know who you're talking about. Nah man, It's all about @DitanicFluellen
now man." The words of Kenarious "The Time is Now" Fluellen, new owner
of the game ball following his dominating
performance against division rival and SuperOwl runners up, Indy Colts.
Fluellen, no longer an auspicious backup to former-star, current-hack
Chris Johnson, managed to open the field for 241 yards on 12 carries,
including 3 TDs and runs of 77, 75 and 58 yards
(check online for highlights).
The Titans, now becoming widely known around Tennessee as the Ditans for
their defensive prowess, dominated the typically close matchup, going
into the tunnels at HT finding themselves up 20-0, following TD's from
Kenarious Fluellen and blossoming rookie WR
Onaje Lewis. Vince Young found Lewis 3 times, for 92 yards for the game.
"Thing is, with Bensley and now a healthy TE in Driskell, Lewis just
gets open so much more often. He's so easy to pass to, and if things
keep going like their going, I can see him getting
1000 Yards easily" Young said.
The offense of Tennessee was not what left Colts fans so bewildered in
the loss, it was their defense that did the damage. 3 sacks and 1
interception does not truly reflect how dominant they were and what
danger they put Sam Bradford under, the 3 sacks could
easily have been 8 and the 1 INT could easily have been 3 or 4. They
managed to hold the Colts to 277 offensive yards despite their 20
minutes of possession, and allowed only 2/10 3rd down conversions.
The second half had the Colts making an effort to come back, but
following two 70+ yard TD runs from Fluellen, the Titans spent the last
couple minutes of the 4th quarter soaking in the atmosphere of the near
quiet Lucas Oil Stadium. "It felt good" Mario Williams
said, "Just knowing how well we really can play. Dennessee, this is what
your Ditans team can be. We are the present AND the future of the NFL.
Y'all better watch out now"
FINAL SCORE
Titans 40
Colts 21
