Bengals Backups Squeeze One Out Over Ravens
After digging deep in the pockets of FA in order to rest their starters,
the Cincinnati Bengalseats walk away with their last win of the regular
season and enter the playoffs at 11-5.
Not a ton to this game, although it was extremely enjoyable and I'm glad
that after one OT game (when Ken was with the Buccs) and two games
decided by one point (while with the Ravens), Ken is back in the league
as well as the AFC North. He will prove a formidable foe, and completes
the AFC North as, arguably, the toughest division in the league.
The lead changed hands quite a bit with Bengals QB Dan LeFevour throwing
the first TD pass to WR Jason Hill. The key to the Bengals victory
lied not only in the hand of forcing a Reggie Bush fumble on a kickoff,
but to holding the Ravens to field goals on their first two drives (not
to mention, I think 3 Ravens kickoffs that went out of bounds. What was
Cundiff thinking?! ). However, Jahvid Best found some room to get
in the endzone with :52 seconds left in the first half to put the Ravens
up, 13-7. Starting at the 40, LeFevour hit Hill in the flat for a 1
yard loss, but found WR Jordan Shipley on the outside for a 29 yard
gain. Shipley wanted to get out bounds, but Zbikowski was right behind
him and brought him down. Out of time-outs, LeFevour frantically ran up
to the line (he's not as fast as The Pat White Experiment, folks) and
spiked the ball. The next play, LeFevour finds Tony Scheffler (injured
with a dislocated ankle in this game) for a 32 yard TD.
The first play of the second half, Cassel found Reggie Bush for a 77
yard TD pass. Bengals got the ball back and LeFevour marched down the
field, eventually finding FB Fui Vakapuna over the middle for a 15 yard
TD. Bengals kick it to Bush, Bush fumbles, Bengals put the big boys in
and Benson struts into the endzone. Bengals now up 28-20 going into the
4th.
Cassel again found Bush (like he did all day, that guy is a monster!)
and scored with 4:44 left in regulation, but Favre did not go for two!
What a blessing! Reports later surfaced that he was busy taking
pictures of...well, whatever. We've all heard that joke 98 times.
Bengals run out the clock and get the win.

Scheffler is out for the wildcard. Should have signed one more free agent

I still have Gresham, so hopefully I'll be okay.

Re: Bengals Backups Squeeze One Out Over Ravens
The bush fumble off the kickoff killed me. I should have gone for two at end. Looking back there was no reason not to.
A fumble by the bengals on the drive that killed the clock at the end would have also be handy but it was recovered by the bengals.
Well played omg(itsbabyseat)
