Timeline of moving to Madden 12

Exactly as Keith said. We're not starting upon release of the game August 30. We wait for some time so people pick up the game, get acquainted with it, and a patch/roster update is released.

I WILL delay weeks for people's lives. Sorry, that's just how it is.

We'll be as efficient as possible, but I'm still avoiding sims. There's no need to rush, regardless of how stir crazy a few people might get. If people get antsy, which we shouldn't assume now before it actually happens, then they shouldn't have stayed in the league this season, and they're a couple of mother f'ers.

People dont stick around post release of the new game. You can scorn them all you like but when the new model comes out people dont want to drive the old one.

We saw it in Madden 10. Arguing that it shouldn't happen doesn't stop it from happening. Thats like telling the ocean to stop ruining your sand castle.

You are right in that this may be unnecessary. But I dont think thats the case.

I personally don't care for the generalizations on what people will do. If people decide to drop out of the league mid-season in preparation for 12, they're assholes, but I understand.

No, really, it's kind of a shitty thing to do, and I'd like to treat this season in the way we treat every season.

On the other hand, I understand if people are trading in Madden 11 to get Madden 12. I mean, part of me feels completely different than the semi-angry part of me, you know? I totally get it and would be fine with it.

One thing to remember - if we are waiting for new game + first roster update before we all switch over Franchise-wise, we may get delayed by the real life CBA situation.

I know strides have been made recently, but if we get any delays in real life, we'll be delayed with 4thsl...

But yes.. regardless of what happens with '12 we MUST complete our current '11 season for the sake of continuality.

Hey new to the forums and been listening since the Sports Anomaly. Was just wondering how I can get in line to maybe pick up a team in the league when Madden 12 comes out?

There are moves to split the league into two franchises - one containing the elite players, the other containing the rest of the very good players.

This move will result in more than a few spots opening up so I'd suggest you edit the wiki in the link above and put yourself down on the list.

There is no elite league. Erase that from your brain. The two leagues are separate but equal.
